Collins International Webinars: Bringing Vocabulary Teaching Alive at Primary Level

Tuesday, May 25, 2021
12:00-13:00 or 18:00-19:00 EET

A good vocabulary is one of the foundations of literacy. Without sufficient understanding of words and phrases, children struggle to understand what they are taught or to express their thoughts and feelings effectively.

In this webinar, we show how vocabulary can be taught systematically and robustly as part of the daily reading lesson. We consider which words to teach and explore a range of approaches that bring vocabulary learning alive at primary level.

Throughout this session we refer to books in the Collins Big Cat range to show how good vocabulary teaching can be achieved with the resources you already have in your school.
