Sakura lives in the cursed village of Shinsei with her grandmother and Maru, her chinchilla.
She does not know what happened to her parents, only how much her heart yearns for them while she goes about her work, using the leaves from the tree of life to heal the hurt in Shinsei village.
Soon she will discover that her story is the final part in a tale that spans generations and that only she can destroy the demons that keep the village in thrall and her from her parents.
If she can find the magpie, and persuade it to help her, maybe there will be hope.
