Korean violinist Kyung-Wha Chung has been celebrated in her 30+ year career for her musicality, passion and intensity of playing. She started her apprenticeship at the age of six and later studied at the Juilliard School in New York. As a soloist, she performed with world-famous orchestras and conductors, including Claudio Abbado, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Georg Solti.
This title is an SHM-SACD. This format is the further development of the single-layer SACD and uses a particularly light-transparent plastic (Super High Material). It enables the pit-land structures on the surface to be read much better than is possible with hybrid SACDs.
Universal's SHM-SACDs are generally digitized again in DSD from the master tapes of the albums without changes. SHM SACDs can be played on any SACD player.
