The five-disc Les 100 Plus Belles Chansons is an extensive collection of the most popular songs of the legendary Georges Brassens, widely regarded as one of his homeland's most accomplished postwar poets and singer/songwriters. The 2006 release, featuring material written or co-written entirely by the iconic Frenchman, includes his debut single, "Le Gorille," his theme to 1964 film Les Copains d'Abord, and the semi-autobiographical "La Mauvaise Réputation."
