Akashic Books continues its groundbreaking series of original noir anthologies, launched in 2004 with Brooklyn Noir. Each story is set in a distinct neighbourhood or location within the city of the book.
The Noir series first moved into Europe with London Noir and Paris Noir. Following subsequent entries Rome Noir, Helsinki Noir and Barcelona Noir - the series has finally found its way to one of the elephants in the European room: Brussels, a city of contradictions, turmoil, violence, and hypocrisy (particularly as a leader of 'New Europe').
Featuring brand-new stories by Barbara Abel, Ayerdhal, Paul Colize, Jean-Luc Cornette, Patrick Delperdange, Sara Doke, Kenan Görgün, Edgar Kosma, Katia Lanero Zamora, Nadine Monfils, Alfredo Noriega, Bob van Laerhoven and Émilie de Béco. The majority of the stories are translated from French.
