      If there is one trait that is most common to myself and many of the people I know and I work with is the pervasive feeling of not being good enough. It can a blessing because it pushes you always do more and better and a curse because it becomes exhausting and infuriating at times. At the beginning of the book she defines the terms: “Vulnerability is not knowing victory or defeat, it’s understanding the necessity of both; it’s engaging. It’s being all in. (…) Rather than sitting on the sidelines and hurling judgment and advice, we must dare to show up and let ourselves be seen. This is vulnerability. This is daring greatly.” Then she goes on in revealing some of her own moments of exposure, uncertainty and shame, and walks the reader through her way out into the courage of acceptance and engagement with the world. The book had an impact on me also through the end when, besides the working and leadership environment, she tackles the topic under the realm of wholehearted and daring parents raising emotionally healthy and courageous children.
