Crow with a romantic heart
Nota 8
I am glad that Kurama’s arc was so short. Two volumes are enough for a side character arc as much as I enjoy world building. This final act of the Kurama story was really good to showcase that Nanami is very much in control. While she is still a vulnerable human girl, her strength as a deity grows stronger every day. She is strong enough to even keep Tomoe on the sidelines for a time. We can’t really blame the crow Jiro for his immediate infatuation with the young land deity as his clan is primarily male, as it put in perspective that Nanami is indeed an eligible young lady as well. Tomoe’s affections also have started to come out more, making the aloof familiar fox spirit behave like a fool. The arc had a satisfying end. For a second I really thought that the author was more ruthless than expected, but in a shoujo few are unhappy and fewer (to none) die.
