In 1864, Conrad Dietrich Magirus founded Feuerwehr-Requisiten-Fabrik von C.D. Magirus. Four years later, he has a first scale model that immediately attracted the German firefighters but also those of many other countries. The great adventure of Magirus ladders just begun.

During all these years the firm Magirus will experience a thousand adventures and produce a wide variety of fire trucks including ladders are only part. Its productions will be exported to most countries of the world.

The present work has the objective to relate this extraordinary industrial saga that spans over 150 years, based on a rich and varied iconography. About his stops in 2014, the year which saw the firm Magirus celebrate its 150th anniversary.
