I’m so glad to make the acquaintance of Nicolae Donitch through Magda Stavinischi’s interesting book. I hadn’t known of the pioneering work on solar eclipses that Prof. Donitch carried out about 100 years ago, and from what this book reveals, I wish I could have been on his expeditions. Further, I am astounded at the detective story that allowed Prof. Stavinschi to uncover so much about her predecessor’s later life and activity.
