Money is missing from a private bank in Mayfair, London. Dexter - just back from an assignment in Morrocco - accepts the case. He quickly suspects an inside job with links to banks in Amsterdam, Moscow, and Cairo. The funds do the usual rounds - transferred into another account then laundered through diamonds which are collateral to fund a civil war in Africa.
Dexter is paired up with Uba - a Somali of diplomatic stock. He's in it for the glamour - she wants to stop the exploitation in her motherland. A banker found under Westminster Bridge in suspicious circumstances and involvement from M15/M16 means they must watch their backs...
