Marco (Miki Manojlovic) and Blacky (Lazar Ristovsi) are two charming rogues making a living on the black market by stealing arms to sell on to the Partisans. But both men are in love with actress Natalija (Mirjana Jokovic) and, in the chaos of conflict, Marko tries to eliminate his competition by hiding Blacky away in a cellar for 20 years and orchestrating an elaborate charade to convince him that the war is ongoing.
This epic tale of friendship, betrayal and romantic entanglement, set against the backdrop of 50 turbulent years of Yugoslavian history from the German invasion of 1941 to its eventual dissolution in the 1990s is available in this set with the five-hour cut for TV.
