Drawing on the forty years of experience with the California Pit River tribe, the author has created this peculiar blend of fiction, folklore, fantastic stories, jokes, holiday rites, and adventures, the Indian Tales.
The characters of the work are both humans and animals, who set off for the village of Darvak, and during their journey, which is also an initiation story, they get involved in a lot of adventures.
The author suggests to the readers “cheekily”: “If you find yourself not knowing the answer and looking for some kind of mechanical explanation, then come up with one. : "That's how they tell this tale. I didn't invent it!"
