A pioneer in the silk industry since 1880, Montagut produced women’s stockings between the world wars. After World War II, Montagut transformed itself into a knitwear company and developed the innovative fil lumière―luminous thread―used to create unique polos for men and women that were a hit first with baby boomers and then in Asia.
