Serving in a territorial regiment in the baking hot summer of 1914, Captain Ralph Husey is asked ‎to volunteer for service in Flanders to fight the German invaders. Arriving in France, he discovers ‎the B.E.F. has been decimated and everything the army has taught him is obsolete. His battalion ‎is immediately thrown into the furnace of trench warfare, where the only lifeline is to learn fast, ‎adapt or suffer the consequences. After weeks of ferocious fighting in the Ypres salient, the 2nd ‎Cavalry Brigade unexpectedly retreats leaving a major gap in the British line. If the Germans ‎break through, they will split the French and British armies, Paris will fall, and the war will ‎certainly be lost. The remnants of Husey's battalion are ordered to stem the tide and hold at all ‎costs. Outnumbered and outgunned, can Husey inspire his beleaguered Riflemen to hold back the ‎hordes of German infantry?‎
