Make This Book Disappear

This is a science activity book where the book itself has a starring role. Use the power of science to put the actual physical book through its paces. Experiments on and off the page encourage children to make scientific enquiries in a fun but educationally robust way by asking questions, making predictions and testing things out. The book starts by asking children to prod, tear and cut up a page to test the properties of paper. Then children are encouraged to do experiments to make all kinds of things happen, for example to make the book disappear by causing camouflage confusion; to make the book fly by transforming a page into a jet; to make the book move by giving it pencil-wheels; to make the book grow by cutting a page so it's big enough to walk through; to make the book scream and shout by making all kinds of sound poppers; and many more fun and interactive tasks.
