Slowly But Boldly Going Nowhere

Slowly But Boldly Going Nowhere is artist Megan Dominescu's first book. It features many of her works, ranging from comics to collages to textiles. The book is a journey throughout time, a sort-of coming of age humorous encyclopedia of universal experiences illustrated chronologically with Megan's colorful, narrative art. The art featured in the book is a compilation of work Megan has been doing for the past 12 years that have been combined into a story. The chapters start from prehistoric times and travel throughout a life span, featuring rebellion, love, and ultimately end in death. Megan's artistic practice is comprised mainly of hand-made textile art but she also paints and draws comics which all combine in the book to represent a bizarre, parallel but familiar universe.
