      Delivery Rates and Costs

      Prices displayed on the site include VAT. For books, this is 5%. For     food products, VAT is 9%, and for other products, it is 19%.

      Prices displayed next to the     products do not include delivery costs. These will be calculated separately in the cart, depending on: the value     of the ordered products and the destination address where you want to send the products.

      If you place an     order with delivery in Romania by courier, with a value greater than 150 lei, delivery is         free.

      If the value is less than 150 lei, we have the following delivery rates for     Romania:

      - in Bucharest and Ilfov County - 9.5 lei for orders with products up to 99.99 lei,     7.5 lei for orders from 100 lei up to 149.99 lei, by express courier.

      - nationwide, 15 lei for     orders with products up to 99.99 lei, 7.5 lei for orders with products from 100 lei up to     149.99 lei, by express courier.

      -Packeta locker rates:

      • 0-5kg - 6.5 lei
      • 5-10kg - 8.9 lei

      If you are in Bucharest, you can receive the package on the same day, through the services:

      - Sinapseria - bicycle delivery in Bucharest - only for products with the 24-hour label and for orders placed until 13:30 -     transport fee 19.90 Lei. Next day delivery for all online orders placed from 16:00 until midnight, Monday to Thursday, that contain products with the 24h label, transport fee 11.90 lei.

      For same-day delivery, you do not benefit from free shipping, regardless of the order value.

      For deliveries outside the country, transport costs are automatically added depending on the destination country, weight, and product category, with payment possible only online by card. Also, no partial deliveries will be made, regardless of the status of the ordered products: we will wait for the complete order to ship the package.

      In the case of exports of high-priority dual-use products, technologies or items, as listed in Annexes XI, XX, XXXV and XL of the EU Regulation, to countries other than the USA, Japan, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, the client assumes that they will not re-export the product/products to the Russian Federation in accordance with the conditions set by Article 12g of EU Regulation no. 833/2014.

      For items we request from suppliers, the delivery time is directly influenced by how quickly     they process and send us the request.

      Situations may arise where the supplier no longer has stock, and our request cannot be processed. Thus,     no matter how much effort we put in, the order cannot be confirmed and shipped.

      We will do our best to notify this status as soon as possible, no later than 10 working days. Also, if     payment has been made in advance, we will fully refund the corresponding amount.

      If you have included products with different delivery times in your order, delivery will be made as follows:

      - In full, in a single package, for products in stock, according to the latest term

      - Pre-orders will be delivered according to the communicated term, unless the supplier subsequently revises it

      - If you have selected both products with in-stock availability and supplier stock, an initial delivery will be made,     for the products in stock, with the rest of the items being delivered later, if we receive them from the supply     sources

       

      Our shopping cart does not allow registering a quantity greater than the recorded stock. Also, the maximum number of copies cannot exceed 5 units per product. If you wish to purchase a larger quantity, please send us your request by email to ecomenzi@carturesti.info

      Upon completion of the steps in the shopping cart, the order registration is confirmed. Shipping confirmation will be     made later, after processing and preparing the package is completed. For orders of products with     pre-order availability or supplier stock, we will inform you as soon as we receive an updated status from the     supply sources

      You will be notified about the processing and shipping of the package from our headquarters.

      From the moment the package is picked up by the courier company, we cannot control any delays that occur in the     delivery process.

      Products

      Items listed on carturesti.ro contain descriptions received directly from suppliers. We cannot guarantee the     accuracy of the information for the products, but we undertake to correct any errors that occur during the listing     process. If you have received a product that does not correspond to what you initially viewed on the site, we will     replace it with another item, if it is still in stock, or we will initiate the return process and refund the     corresponding amount.

      We mention that alcohol products can only be purchased if you are over 18 years old.

      Payment Methods

      Online card payment

      After completing your shopping, you choose online card payment, enter your card details, and you will be redirected to the page/platform of the payment processor we collaborate with.
      In case the payment is not confirmed, you will automatically receive a new link for payment. If the payment remains unconfirmed within 12 hours, the order will be marked as cancelled.

      Cash on delivery

      If you choose to pay cash on delivery, you will hand the courier who delivers your package the amount due, in cash. We     remind you that the payment amount is mentioned on the invoice received at your registered email address.

      Payment by Bank Transfer (OP)

      You can choose to pay by bank transfer, based on the order confirmation email.
      ATTENTION! For us to be able to process and deliver the order you     placed on     carturesti.ro, it is necessary for you to send us proof of the bank transfer by email to     ecomenzi@carturesti.info, and also, the amount must be visible in our account. The package will be     shipped only after both conditions are met.

      Payment with cultural card or gift card

      You can choose to pay with Sodexo, UP, and Edenred cultural or gift cards when you order from     carturesti.ro. All you have to do is choose your favorite products, add them to your cart, and when     you complete the order, choose online card payment (cultural or gift) and enter your cultural     card details.

      Saving your card on carturesti.ro implies compliance with current Security policies. In this regard,     no information related to your card will be misused, requiring 3-D secure authentication. The products on this site are sold through the online payment service     offered by PayU.

      Installment payment via Klarna

      You can choose to pay for your order in installments if the total payment is greater than 200 lei. If your cart does not total this value, the payment option will not be available. We mention that this option is only possible for orders delivered within Romania.

      Also, payment via Klarna is not available for electronic voucher orders on the site and for products with the "Pre-order" label.

      After you select Klarna as the payment method, you will follow the necessary steps to create an account in the Klarna portal and complete the payment of the order.

      Delivery Methods

      You can opt for home delivery, via courier company, pick-up from the bookstore, or pick-up from     easybox/locker.

      Cărturești collaborates with 6 courier companies: 5 for domestic deliveries, Packeta for both domestic and international deliveries, and DHL, exclusively dedicated to international deliveries.

      Deliveries within Romania are made by the following courier companies: Fan Courier, Cargus,     Sameday, Bookurier, and DPD. Allocation is done automatically, based on criteria pre-established in the system.

      We mention that, for easybox/locker pickups, the payment method can be online card, in advance, or card payment directly at the locker, if it has a POS.

      Also, it is possible that the package dimensions are not suitable for the selected easybox/locker.     This aspect can only be determined during sorting at the courier's warehouse. In this case, the method will be     updated to home delivery, and you will receive an SMS notification from the courier company to     arrange the necessary details.

      Gift Vouchers

      Gift vouchers can be purchased electronically, directly from the site, by accessing the link https://carturesti.ro/coupon-checkout.

      The order can only be placed from an authenticated, valid account on carturesti.ro, and payment is     exclusively by online card.

      Once the order is finalized, the voucher will be sent electronically, as a PDF document, to the     email address checked in the shopping cart.

      The amount can be consumed in 3 purchases, and the validity is 6 months.

      For online purchases, the voucher will be used by entering the barcode - the 13-digit number.

      Gift vouchers are non-nominal and transferable. Do not make the voucher series and code public.     The issuer does not assume responsibility in case of unauthorized use of the series by     unauthorized persons.

      Product Returns

      In this regard, we will comply with the provisions of Government Ordinance no. 34/2015 regarding consumer rights in contracts concluded with professionals, by which (only under the conditions of the mentioned normative act) you have the right, within 14 days starting from the day on which you or a third party, other than the transporter, indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the products, to withdraw from this contract.

      To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform Direct Client Services SRL, at its headquarters in Strada Apusului no. 1B, Ilfov County, Glina Commune, Catelu Village, Postal Code 077105, 0376 448 000, ecomenzi@carturesti.info, of your decision to withdraw from this contract, using an unequivocal statement, for example, a letter sent by post or email. You can also complete and submit electronically from our website: carturesti.ro/site/retur     the standard withdrawal form or any other unequivocal statement. If you use this option, we will send you without delay, on a durable medium, for example by email, confirmation of receipt of the withdrawal request. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

      If you withdraw, we will reimburse any amount we have received from you, including delivery costs, with the exception of additional costs determined by the fact that you have chosen a delivery method other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us, without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days from the date on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the products back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the products, whichever is the earliest.

      You shall send back the products or hand them over to us directly, without undue delay and, in any     event, no later than 14 days from the date on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. The deadline is     met if the products are sent back before the expiry of the 14-day period.

      You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the products. You are only responsible for the     diminished value of the products resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to     establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the products.

      The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed audio or video recordings that have been unsealed after delivery, newspapers, periodicals and magazines, digital content not supplied on a tangible medium if the performance has begun with the consumer's prior express agreement and after he has acknowledged that he will lose his right of withdrawal (e.g. ebook). Also, according to art. 16 lit. c of O.G. 34/2014, clearly personalized products are excluded from the right of withdrawal.
