Russian-French comedy drama. Aleksei Guskov stars as Andrei Filipov, a once-celebrated conductor of the prestigious Bolshoi Orchestra who was sacked from the post 30 years previously for hiring Jewish musicians, and has worked in the menial role of janitor in the Bolshoi Theatre ever since. When he happens upon an invitation from Paris for the Bolshoi Orchestra to play there, he hijacks the gig and assembles his own motley team of musicians for a whirlwind three-day trip that they will never forget. Melanie Laurent and Valeriy Barinov co-star.
