The artwork for this fourth Coldplay album is derived from a famous 1830 painting by French painter Eugene Delacroix entitled 'Liberty Leading The People'. During the 2006 recording of Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, the band toured South America, giving this album Spanish influences.
