The album features Ólafsson's previously unreleased interpretations of Debussy's Pour le piano, Bruyères and Canope. These pieces were recorded on both an upright piano and a Steinway grand piano to show two contrasting sound versions. The Icelandic pianist pays homage to the two revolutionary French composers Jean-Philippe Rameau and Claude Debussy with an impressive group of guests, from electronic music with producer Clark and the duo Hugar to post-rock with Balmohrea and classical arrangements by Hania Rani.
