Bicycle Delivery
We deliver by bicycle on the same day in Bucharest! Because we like the idea of a happier, airier, less polluted Bucharest. Greener with freshness, redder with joy, bluer with dreams. All, under friendly conditions for the environment in Bucharest, for Cărturești and for the backs of Sinapseria* couriers:
- Same day delivery for all online orders placed on carturesti.ro until 1:30 PM, which contain products marked with the "24h" label.
- The package delivered by bicycle will not exceed a weight of 2 kg.
- Bicycle delivery price: 19.90 lei.
- Delivery interval: Monday to Friday, until 7:00 PM.
- Next day delivery for all online orders placed from 4 PM until midnight, Monday to Thursday, which contain products with the 24h label.
- The package delivered by bicycle will not exceed a weight of 2 kg.
- Bicycle delivery price: 11.90 lei.
- Delivery interval: Monday to Friday, until 7:00 PM.
*Sinapseria is a fast bicycle courier service. With every delivery they make, the people on their flying bicycles reduce the level of carbon dioxide that cars release into traffic. And we really like what they do because nothing is too much to live in a cleaner city.

In-store pickup
From now on you can choose to pick up your package from any of our bookstores.
To benefit from this service, simply log in to your account created on the site and place an order that contains only products with the 24H delivery label. The in-store pickup option will not be displayed if one of the items does not meet the terms mentioned above. Also, the order must have a minimum value of 10 lei.
Payment for products can be made by two methods:
- online card: immediately after completing the order, you will be redirected to the PayU website
- directly in the bookstore, upon pickup of the products.
To select this method, in checkout, choose the "Pay in store" option. This does not condition cash payment, having the possibility to pay by all methods available in our bookstores: voucher, bank card or cultural/gift card.
We mention that these packages are processed by the central warehouse. Thus, it will be necessary for the package to be shipped and received in the selected bookstore. When the package is available for pickup, you will be notified by email and will receive a unique 8-character code -> the security code based on which you can pick up the package.
Packages will be kept in the bookstore for 5 days. After this interval, prepaid orders will be returned to the central warehouse and you will be contacted for further details. Unpaid orders will be considered cancelled, and the related products will be listed in the bookstore's offer.
Returns and product exchanges: You can return either online, via courier, or
directly in the bookstore, based on the tax invoice or fiscal receipt.

register your request
with the Customer Relations department. Our product return policy remains unchanged and
you can read it here.
For situations where you want to exchange a product, there are solutions, which you will find out when you contact the same Customer Relations department.
Personal pickup from easybox or Fan Courier / Packeta lockers
When you reach the shopping cart, you can also opt for personal pickup from easybox/locker. You can
choose either online card payment when placing the order, or card payment directly at the locker when
picking up the package. We mention that it is possible that some lockers may not have an active POS. In this case, at the time of placing the order, you will only have advance payment active, by online card.
Delivery to easybox will be made by Sameday courier company, and to lockers by Fan Courier. You can also opt for delivery to Packeta lockers. Follow
the necessary steps, and the couriers will contact you if the final size of your package does not correspond to those
available at your selected pickup point. In this case, the delivery method will be updated and
you will receive an SMS notification from the courier company to establish the necessary details.
Shipping fees for Packeta lockers are:
- 0-5kg - 6.5 lei
- 5-10kg - 8.9 lei
Shipping Costs
These will be calculated separately in the cart, depending on the destination (in Bucharest, country or abroad) and the approximate weight of your package.
If you opt to pick up the products from a Carturesti bookstore of your choice, you can do so free of charge. Please note that the minimum order value is 10 lei.
If you place an order with delivery in Romania, by express courier, with a value greater than 150 lei, delivery is free.
Otherwise, we have the following delivery rates for Romania:
- in Bucharest and Ilfov County - 9.5 lei for orders up to 99.99 lei, 7.5 lei for orders with a value between 100 lei and 149.99 lei, by express courier;
- in the country - 15 lei for orders up to 99.99 lei, 7.5 lei for orders with a value between 100 lei and 149.99 lei, by express courier.
Packeta locker rates:
- 0-5kg - 6.5 lei
- 5-10kg - 8.9 lei
We mention that we deliver through 4 courier companies: Cargus, Sameday, Fan Courier and Bookurier. The allocation is
done automatically, depending on the load in each area. If you wish delivery through a specific
company, please specify in the observations field of the order.

For deliveries outside the country, shipping costs are automatically calculated in the shopping cart, depending on the destination country, weight and product category. In this case, payment is only possible online, by card.
