Product return
Products acquired from the carturesti.ro website can be returned according to the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 regarding the consumer rights in agreements concluded with professionals, as well as for the amendment and completion of some regulations (hereinafter referred to as GO 34/2014).
Therefore, in 14 days from the receival of the ordered product by you, or by a third party designated by you, another one than the transporter, you have the legal right to withdraw from the acquisition of the product, without penalties or statement of reasons.
In order to exercise the withdrawal right you must inform Direct Client Services SRL, at its registered office in 319A Splaiul Independentei, Sema Park, pavilion OB15A, District 6, Bucharest, 0376 448 000, ecomenzi@carturesti.info regarding your decision to withdraw from this agreement, using an unequivocal statement, for example, a letter sent by mail or e-mail. Also, you can fill in and submit electronically on our website the standard withdrawal form or any other unequivocal statement. If you use this option, we will submit to you, without delay, on an indelible medium, for example through e-mail, the confirmation on the receival of the withdrawal request. In order to comply with the deadline for withdrawal it is sufficient to submit the decision to exert the withdrawal right, before the expiry of the withdrawal period.
If you withdraw, we will reimburse any amount we have received from you, including shipping fees, except for the additional fees determined by the fact you chose another delivery method than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us, without unjustified delays and, in any case, no later than 14 days from the date when we are informed about your decision to withdraw from the current agreement. We will perform this reimbursement using the same payment method as the one used on the initial transaction, except for the case when you have expressly agreed to another reimbursement method, for the orders with payment due by return. In this case, the respective amount will be transferred to an IBAN account, the cash reimbursement not being available.; in this case, you will not be charged additional fees as result of such reimbursement. We can delay the reimbursement until we have received back the products or until you have provided proof that you have sent back the products, the closest date being applicable. You will have to bear the direct cost of the products’ return.
For the return of the orders paid via vouchers, we inform you that the reimbursement will be performed by issuing another voucher code. Our policy does not entail the return of such an amount otherwise than via an online valid voucher.
The products’ return can be performed online, through the shipping company or directly in the physical bookstores, on the basis of the tax invoice, without unwarranted delays and, in any case, in no more than 14 days from the date when you have gained physical possession of the ordered product, either yourself or through the third person appointed by you, other than the transporter. The term is met if the products are sent back before the expiry of the 14-days period. For the online return, we will send an agent of the shipping company to the agreed address for picking up the products. The amount will be reimbursed immediately when the respective package is received at the online headquarters.
The returned product must be in the same state in which it was shipped (in the original packaging, with all accessories, with undamaged labels and along with the accompanying documents). The products which present physical alterations, dents, nicks, scratches, shocks, traces of unauthorized use and/or intervention et cetera are not accepted for return. You are responsible for the decrease in value of the products which results from handling, other than that necessary for the determination of the nature, qualities and functioning of the products.
There are excluded from the withdrawal right’s domain the audio or video sealed recordings which were unsealed after shipping, the newspapers, journals and magazines, the digital content, which is not delivered on a physical medium, if the performance has begun with the express consent of the consumer and after he has confirmed the acknowledgement of the fact he will lose the withdrawal right (for example, eBooks).
Plainly speaking, you have the right to give up on the acquired products in 14 days from the day on which you have received the products, under the conditions mentioned above. You send them back to us and we will reimburse your money. Legally speaking, you don’t have to give any reasoning for your decision. It would be, although, quite nice to offer us an explanation, so that, going forward, we will be able to avoid the same type of situation.
