The 15th volume of Hôtel Costes won’t surprise anyone familiar with Stéphane Pompougnac's popular series of mix CDs. It’s another set of eclectic and relaxed downtempo music with track-to-track transitions that are remarkably fluid as often as they are abrupt. For those with a taste for largely European-flavored, sophisticated yet occasionally playful dance music, this offers plenty of pleasing selections originally released during the past decade, highlighted by Jürgen Paape's "So Weit Wie Noch Die,” Second Date's “Young, Beautiful, Etc.,” Osunlade’s “Idiosyncracy,” and Scratch Massive's “Paris.”
